Bulk storage setup
A new building needs its bins before the first truck arrives. Download a template shaped to your warehouse, fill it in, and import the whole rack layout at once.

How bulk storage setup works

Open storage upload
Go to Storage under Warehouse and click Upload Storage. Pick the warehouse you are setting up so the template matches its structure.

Download the template
Click Download Template. The CSV comes back shaped to that warehouse's levels, so the columns already read Zone, Aisle, Rack, Level, Bin.

Fill in the layout
Enter one row per bin, following the path pattern. Keep the naming consistent, because these values become the storage path printed on every bin label.

Validate and import
Upload the file and check the import preview. If the preview reads correctly, click Add Data and every bin is created at once.

Check the result
Return to the Storage page to see the new locations. From there you can see which bins are free and what is sitting in the occupied ones.

Questions about this feature
The import is designed for standing up a full facility, so a complete rack layout goes in as a single file rather than being keyed in bin by bin. The preview validates the whole file before anything is written.
The import preview shows you what will be created before you commit. Nothing is written until you click Add Data, so a bad file gets fixed and re-uploaded rather than cleaned up afterwards.
